Learning math is extra sweet in 3rd grade! 🎃🍬 Mrs. Lyle’s students tackled a spooky multiplication packet on the Fri-YAY before Halloween! For every page completed and correct, they earned a piece of Halloween candy! Great job working hard on your math facts, 3rd grade!

Who’s who? 🤔 Sydney nailed Red Ribbon Week's spirit week on Superhero Day by coming as her real-life hero, Mrs. Lyle!

The Logical Ladies laced up their running shoes, grabbed their stopwatches, and put math into motion! The girls collected data, created graphs, and explored how the slope changed as runners sped up and slowed down. These ladies are proving that math is everywhere, even on the track!

Mrs. Jones' Class tested two independent variables related to force and motion. One group tested how weights added to a toy car would have an effect on distance and time traveled by of the car. The second group tested how different ramp heights would have an effect on the distance and time traveled of a toy car.

🎃👻👺 Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the AES Trunk or Treat on Friday. It was great seeing so many amazing trunks and costumes. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Mrs. Renick's class was challenged to see who could hold their pencil on their top lip the longest during class today. Not only were they super quiet, but the winner received a Ring Pop!

The Logical Ladies are back!

We kicked off our first club meeting of the year by exploring Rube Goldberg machines with the classic board game Mouse Trap! The girls put their engineering eyes to work, identifying types of kinetic and potential energy as they watched the elaborate trap in action. Then we supersized the math! We scaled the shoe up to life-size and calculated how tall the man and the mouse would be if the entire game were scaled up too!

It’s National School Lunch Week, and we’re celebrating the incredible meals that keep nearly 30 million kids energized, focused, and ready to learn every single day! Ever since President John F. Kennedy founded this special week back in 1962, NSLW has been all about recognizing the power of a healthy, delicious lunch—both inside the classroom and out on the playground.

Huge shoutout to our hardworking cafeteria heroes, nutrition staff, and school chefs who serve up smiles, comfort, and nourishment with every tray! 💛🎉

🌻Mrs. Jones' 5th Grade Class dissected Daylilies during their Plant Science unit. Students were able to identify the different parts of the flower as well as record the quantity of each individual part found in the Daylily.
