The Logical Ladies Math Club meetings are beginning this week for those Acquinton ladies who returned interest forms. Pickup or drop-off will take place at the front office entrance. Meetings are every other week, and you choose morning or afternoon. We look forward to having fun playing with math!

Mrs. Jones' 4th Grade Class expanded their studies of Colonial Virginia by completing a bartering activity that mimics traditional colonial economic practices.

IT'S ELECTRIC!!! Students in Mrs. Madison's class is exploring static electricity!!
Archaeologists from the Fairfield Foundation visited Ms. Heinsman's Math 5/6 class to demonstrate how coordinate graphing plays a vital role in preserving the context of discovered artifacts. Students actively participated by becoming "plot points," organizing themselves in the classroom based on their coordinates. They also practiced mapping artifacts from a test unit layer using measurement and coordinate graphing skills.
Congratulations to Mrs. Hair for winning the annual Door Decorating Contest at AES. She showed us what it truly means to BELIEVE!

The students and staff of AES were treated to performances by the AES Choir, KWHS Choirs, and KWHS Band. A great way to get into the holiday spirit!
Ms. Heinsman and Mrs. Phillips took the students of the Math 5/6 Class at AES on a field trip to the Science Museum of Virginia to explore the temporary math exhibit, MathAlive! Students were able to see how math they covered in class was used in sports, engineering, meteorology, and art.
Ms Compton's class enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies after reading "Christmas Cookie Day"
