AES is excited to host an end-of-year celebration for our students and families, and we wanted to share the details with you! Flyers went home in Tuesday Folders yesterday.
Theme: A Year to Celebrate, A Summer to Enjoy
Date: Thursday, May 21
Time: 4:30–6:30 PM
Location: AES School field/playground
This will be a relaxed, picnic-style event with food trucks available for families to purchase dinner, play lawn games, and have time to connect as a school community while celebrating a great year together.
We hope to see you there!
Our school bus drivers do so much more than drive. 🚍💛 Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Take a moment to thank the driver who keeps our kids safe, greets them with a smile, and helps our beginning and ending of our days run smoothly.

Our students had an amazing time visiting Maymont, where they explored and learned all about ecosystems, habitats, food chains, and how living things depend on one another in nature. It was such a great hands-on learning experience that brought our classroom science lessons to life!
We also had an exciting Field Day filled with teamwork, laughter, friendly competition, and lots of school spirit! From races to games and everything in between, students showed great sportsmanship and had so much fun making memories with their classmates. We were especially excited to take FIRST PLACE in tug of war! 🏆💪
After two exciting days of learning and fun, it’s now time to lock in and get ready for SOL testing! We are so proud of how hard our students have been working and know they are ready to do their very best. Let’s finish strong! 💪✨

Our students spent the day exploring the "world of work" last week and seeing firsthand the many exciting possibilities that await them in their futures.
We are so grateful to our amazing parents and community members who volunteered their time to broaden our students' horizons. From the craftsmanship of landscaping and hairstyling to the bravery of our local firefighters and police officers, our students got a front-row seat to a wide variety of paths.
A huge thank you to all our presenters. Whether it was learning about high-flying aerospace engineering or the art of community service, our students walked away inspired and dreaming big. Thank you for investing in our future leaders!
