Welcome to Acquinton Elementary School!
My name is Kristen Wilken, and I am excited and honored to serve as the principal at AES. This summer I have enjoyed getting to know some of the staff, students, and families and I look forward to meeting everyone as the 2023-2024 school year kicks off!
I am joining Acquinton Elementary with 17 years of public school experience throughout a variety of settings. My educational experience includes 9 years as a teacher, both general education and special education, as well as 8 years in various leadership roles.
This year, our theme is “growing greatness!” I know that I’m joining a great school with dedicated teachers and curious learners and I can’t wait to see how we continue to grow greatness this year. Over the years, I have seen first hand how collaboration between parents, teachers, and staff lead to successful outcomes for all students. I encourage parents to get involved in our school, whether through the PTA, attending school events, or volunteering, so we can all work together and our students can continue to grow.
